Endings
For the full choice system, beat-by-beat breakdown, and lockout logic see Narrative Script.
How the Endings Work
Shaped by 5 story beat choices across the game. Each choice tracks toward Containment or Evolution. One ending is silently locked out before the final decision β the player only ever sees two options at the climax.
What do we do with a form of life we created but donβt fully understand?
The Three Endings
π Containment
Unlocked by: 3+ Containment points, or rejecting Giovanni in Beat 5
Porygon-3 is stabilised but constrained. The island becomes a controlled scientific frontier β research continues under strict oversight. The experiment doesnβt end, but it doesnβt run free.
π± Evolution
Unlocked by: 3+ Evolution points, and not engaging with Giovanni in Beat 5
Porygon-3 is allowed to continue developing. What it becomes is uncertain but extraordinary. Colress stays on the island to observe. The most dangerous ending and the most hopeful.
Locked out by: Engaging with Giovanniβs argument in Beat 5, regardless of prior score.
π₯ Destruction
Unlocked by: Engaging with or seeming to agree with Giovanni in Beat 5
The experiment ends. The island is sealed or abandoned. Porygon-3 is gone.
Locked out by: 3+ Evolution points across Beats 1β4.
