What Happens
The player arrives at New Silph Harbor by boat. The expedition is already underway β researchers, workers, and Silph Co. staff are everywhere. Helix Corp rangers are stationed at every checkpoint, professional and unremarkable.
To be cleared to enter New Silph Town and the rest of the island, the player must pass a trainer certification run by Helix Corp. Framed as a safety requirement β the islandβs PokΓ©mon are unpredictable and only capable trainers are permitted beyond the harbor zone.
The challenge: Three Helix Corp rangers in sequence, increasing difficulty. Completely routine.
On clearing the gauntlet, the harbor master signs off on the playerβs clearance card. Edmund is nearby doing inventory. He congratulates the player and offers a branded Silph Co. pen. It runs out of ink immediately.
