The Silph Brothers β€” Edmund & Edmond

Who They Are

Two Silph Co. middle-management liaisons assigned to the island expedition. Edmund handles metrics and research output reporting. Edmond handles procurement and logistics. They are near-identical in appearance and frequently mistaken for each other, which neither of them finds funny anymore.

They have no bad intentions. They are not helping either.

The Joke

They were hired by Silph Co. to oversee the company’s interests on the island. They have no idea they helped Team Rocket build the infrastructure for a plan decades in the making. They will probably be the last people on the island to figure out what Helix Corp actually is.

Their obliviousness is total and sincere β€” which makes them the perfect accidental cover. Nobody suspects Team Rocket of running an operation staffed by people this aggressively unremarkable.

Edmund β€” Metrics

Obsessed with expedition KPIs, research output percentages, and milestone tracking. Carries a clipboard at all times. Measures success in things that can be put in a report. When the Glitch Effect starts corrupting data terminals, his primary concern is data integrity for the quarterly review.

Key trait: Cannot read a room. Will deliver a status update during a crisis.

Edmond β€” Procurement

Weirdly proud of his job in logistics. Every conversation circles back to supply routes, crate manifests, and shipping timelines. His job means he is legitimately everywhere on the island at all times β€” checking depots, signing off deliveries, inspecting storage β€” without that ever being suspicious.

Key trait: Knows exactly where every crate on the island is. Has no idea what’s inside most of them.

Their Role in the Story

Notes on the Name

Edmund and Edmond are the same name spelled differently. They insist this makes them entirely distinct. It does not.
